road trip days one to two: north carolina to louisiana

We had such a great time on our cross country road trips the past two years that we decided to do another one!  We hit the road the week after school got out.

road trip day two: drive to shreveport

Our second day on the road was a loooong driving day and we made it through three states only stopping at Target and for lunch before arriving in Shreveport.

We had the most amazing dinner at Marilynn's Place, a gas station turned restaurant, in Shreveport.  After having our fill of fried shrimp, catfish, and po'boys, we were brought a plate of delicious beignets to celebrate my birthday!  It was the perfect end to a long day in the car.
