Over Memorial Day weekend we went to the new North Carolina Veterans' Park with John, Katie, and Bryn.  It is the first state park dedicated to military veterans from all branches.

Such a sobering visualization- especially when you realize that it's just for NC casualties, not nationwide.  Each dog tag is stamped with the service member's name and date of birth.

The community columns- 50 columns with the names of each of the state's 100 counties complete with castings of hands of veterans and their families.

  1. Great photos of the park. It will be fun to watch it expand- it's one of my favorite NC places!
