ellie's 2nd and 3rd weeks

I (really, all of us) am so blessed to have parents that were not only able, but willing, to drop their lives and come stay with us for a month so that I could recover from my c-section and help out with all the kids.  While Grandpa couldn't stay the whole time-- he had to go back and work for a couple weeks in the middle, Grandma was here from before Halloween until after Thanksgiving!!

I was able to rest, relax and play with Ellie, and Grandma picked up the slack with the other four.  I don't think she cooked a single meal while she was with us  ;)  (other than mac and cheese for the kids.....) but her help with everything else was a lifesaver!  I think she really enjoyed being here while the kids were in school so she could get some one-on-one time with Ellie, too!

Ellie's second and third weeks went by so quickly and before we knew it, it was almost time for Thanksgiving!

playtime & sleeptime
Ellie spends her day napping (as do some grown-ups....) and people/dog watching.  The kids are so excited to get a turn to hold her once they get home from school!

pedicures
All the girls (Grandma, Auntie Janne, Lexie, and Ellie) went to get pedicures!  Ellie slept through the whole thing!

  1. It is pretty funny that the only meal I cooked was mac & cheese from a box (well, FOUR boxes) for the kids. You and Jacob are such good cooks it intimidates me! ;-) It was a fun month that went by waaaaay too fast!
