ballet

Lexie finished up her third year of ballet this spring.  Normally parents are not allowed to observe class but once a semester everyone is invited to watch and take pictures.  Lexie was VERY excited to have me and all her brothers there to watch all the fun and games that go into a ballet class full of five year old girls!

Lexie participated in the production of "The Nutcracker" with her ballet studio.  While she didn't have an actual role she did get to be one of the "Little Party Girls" in the party scene.  She loved getting to wear a holiday dress and being on stage-- that's her favorite part of ballet!  The studio put on three shows at the local high school and did a great job!

After another year of ballet and tap it was recital time for Lexie again!  This year's recital was held at the Crown Theatre-- a great venue and you could actually see!!

Lexie has been in ballet at Leslie's Dance Academy for the past year and just had her first recital.  The older girls did the ballet of Cinderella and the little girls (2-3 yrs) did their own dance at the end.  Lexie was so excited to dress up in her Cinderella ballet dress!

And look, the boys were there too!!  They enjoyed the ice cream WAYYYYY more than the recital!

day 153 (part two): ballet

Lexie started ballet about a month ago and absolutely LOVES it.  I'm actually amazed with how well she follows directions and how much she's learning.
