After a busy week at Disneyland, it was nice to sleep in and relax while we were in Newport Beach.

Lunch at one of our faves, Wahoo's! We didn't realize that the one we go to is actually the original location!
We took the ferry over to Balboa Island- Nick got out to look around while Ben and Ellie stayed in the van (Chris and Lexie were with Grandma and Grandpa on the ferry behind us so no pics of them!).
The main reason we went to Balboa Island was to get Balboa Bars- a delicious rectangle of ice cream, hand dipped in chocolate and coated in toppings. We went to Dad's Original (though Sugar 'n' Spice is the other contender for "original") and were treated to amazing ice cream bars coated in butter brickle!
Of course, we also had to stop at Balboa Candy and get some treats for later!
